Features of family in modern Russian society

The necessity of studying the tendencies of changes in modern Russian family is proved, its inconsistency is marked. At the family's structure analysis, the attention is concentrated on the consideration of its generational component, features of the values system, role positions of partners. On the basis of given sociological researches the conclusion is made, that in the modern family the gap between intra-familial and extrafamilial activities is increasing, the family type is forming under the influence of personal requirements and needs of its members.
