In this article a psychological and pedagogical analysis of the main tendencies of gender education of children in a modern family and in educational institutions is carried out. The features of socialization of children negatively influencing the formation and development of their gender identity and gender qualities are revealed. The problem of formation of gender identity of boys and the way to solve it are found out.
