Peculiarities of suicidal situation in the regions with ultrahigh suicide rate (on an example of the Republic of Tyva)

Suicide situation in Russia is characterized by the presence of regions with ultrahigh rate of suicides - more than 60 cases per 100000 population. One of these regions is the Republic of Tyva, on the model of which studied the epidemiological peculiarities of suicide rate and high-risk factors of development of suicidal behavior. Found that such an unfavorable situation is connected with complex climatic and geographical, socioeconomic, ethnocultural and health professionals factors. The obtained data can be extrapolated to other regions with ultrahigh rate of suicides.
