The efficient functioning of livestock enterprises depends on the reliability of their power supply. The power redundancy for critical electrical receivers is one of the means of the provide. Traditional backup methods have a number of disadvantages associated with the need to overestimate the power of backup sources, or high costs for the backup electrical network. Recently proposed methods of seasonal reservation allow one to avoid these disadvantages. However, their use requires an analysis of the seasonality of technological processes of livestock enterprises and determination of the characteristics of the equipment responsible for their implementation. The significance of the damage that occurs during interruptions in power supply also depends on the seasonality of technological processes. The article analyzes the seasonality of technological processes of livestock enterprises, reviews methods for calculating damage from interruptions in power supply, and substantiates the use of seasonal reservation methods.
