In the article the specific character of transformation of agrarian sector of Russian economic system in the period of market reforms is considered. The economic development of agrarian enterprises in the Republic of Bashkortostan 2000-2012 is concisely analyzed. The contribution of agrarian enterprises, personal private economies and farmers' production into development of a region's agrarian sector is specified.
