Peculiarities of leg lengthening in patients with achondroplasia depending on their age

The anthropometric and roentgenometric measurements made allowed to study the rates of tibial and fibular growth within the period of 1-30 years. Prediction of scientifically substantiated lengthening amounts is considered in the work as well as the effect of patient's age on selection of the tactics of limb segment surgical lengthening. The formulae are given to calculate the amount of segmental retardation in comparison with normal values.
