The article is devoted to the study of the features of the project management project of creating a restaurant at the hotel. In the last decade in Russia, there has been a rapid growth in the hotel business and the catering industry. In large cities, there are entire chains of hotels and restaurants with them. The number of projects related to the hospitality industry is growing rapidly even after holding a number of international events (Olympiad in Sochi or the World Cup). At the same time, there is a persistent tendency in the country of the absence of a correct theoretical base related to the management of projects in this field, as a result of which the need has arisen to develop a theoretical and methodological framework for managing similar projects.
