The main vessels of the organs of the anterior part of the body in strigiformes (snowy owl, Ural owl) and falconiformes (northern goshawk) in the amount of 9 birds were studied using the method of preparation of corrosion specimens. The heart of the bird species at study lies in the anterior part of the thoracoabdominal cavity, and has the form of a short cone with its apex located between the lobes of the liver. It has a wide base with a blunt tip and is located between the second and the sixth rib, which is due to the length of the chest. The pericardium of birds performs a support and mechanical function together with the ligamentous apparatus, fixing the heart in one position, performing a barrier function, and isolating the heart from the organs of the abdominal cavity, its ligaments are the connectors of blood vessels and nerves for the pericardium and the heart.
