Features of foreign economic relations of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District in modern economic conditions

The author’s research is devoted to the issues of economic relations between the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District and the nearest countries of the Asian region in the context of the modern most important direction of Russia’s foreign economic policy - the Turn to the East. The main results of the volumes of exports and imports with our main Asian partner - China for the period 2020-2022 are analyzed. The results of the strategic partnership of the Zabaikalsky Krai, Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous Region, the Altai Republic with the main foreign partners are considered. Of particular interest is the analysis of foreign economic relations of individual regions of the Far Eastern Federal District with government agencies of Kazakhstan. The article makes reasonable conclusions on ways to improve the efficiency of foreign economic relations of the regions of the Far East with their closest foreign neighbors.
