The article discusses the issues of population migration in the Russian Arctic. It presents analysis of the factors that affect the migration attitudes of residents of the Arctic regions of Russiat. Migration attitudes of the population are identified taking into account the theory of generations, which describes the behavior trends of each settlement group of the population, and also provides tools for stabilizing migration processes in the Russian Arctic using this theory. Specific features of the perception of migration processes are based on the data from sociological surveys conducted on the territory of the Russian Arctic - in the Republic of Karelia, Murmansk Oblast, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). There is given classification of the generations and migration attitudes of the population of the Russian Arctic. A rank assessment was performed and correlation coefficient of the population migration factors in the context of age groups was calculated taking into account environmental factors in the area of residence, unfavorable climatic conditions for people's lives, financial situation, development of medical care, possibility of improving the level of education and career growth, ensuring the future of children. Considering the possibility of migration, people in all age groups emphasize the importance of such factors as improving the financial situation and ensuring the future of children. At the same time, each age group has its own distinctive features and similarities of the obtained values. Based on the analysis performed, tools for improving migration policy in the Russian Arctic are proposed. It is proposed to take into account the specifics of the perception of migration processes and migration attitudes of the population of the Russian Arctic on the basis of a generational approach within the framework of projects and programs of social investment of mining companies in the industrial development of the territory.
