Features of reproduction the freshwater form of the Atlantic salmon in Shuya lake-river system

The study of Atlantic salmon reproduction in Shuya lake-river system (Lake Onega basin) are presented. The potential number of smolts and mature fish for Shuya river are calculated. Analysis of the data shows that total fund of spawning and rearing areas of Shuya river system is 132.6 hectares; the reproductive potential of salmon populations is about 100800 smolts, or more than 10 thousands mature fish.
