Peculiarities of larch tree seedling growth in the Baikal basin arboreta

The agrotechnology of growing Chekanovskiy and Gmelin Siberian larch in the Baikal lake basin (the basins of Hilock and Chikoy rivers) in the Trans-Baikal region is considered. The optimal methods for the seed preparation for sowing, seed sowing terms, seeding norm, seeding depth, line width, seeding direction, mulching material, irrigation norm and timing, organic and mineral fertilizer introduction norm affecting the seedling growth are determined. The developed agrotechnology of the larch growing intensify the reforestation of cutting down areas and burned-out forests in the Baikal basin.
