The features of the relations between Far Eastern territories of Russia and the ASEAN countries in XXI century

The present paper analyzes the state and prospects of cooperation between Russian Far East and the countries of South-East Asia at the turn of XX-XXI centuries. The study determines the stages of cooperation development and the factors impeding multilateral dialogue. The article reveals that the parties are aimed at relationship building, however, lack of information about each other and the established negative views on the Russian bureaucracy make cooperation difficult.
