Peculiarities of relations between China and Taiwan: history of the issue and modern traditions (economic aspect)

The aim of the study is to examine the economic aspect of the relationship between China and Taiwan, taking into account historical trends and current conditions, as well as to develop recommendations for using the successful experience of bilateral cooperation. The article presents a description of how economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two states is carried out over the entire period of their existence. The political, economic, social and cultural environment, mutual trade between Taiwan and China are considered. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the avoidance of conflict and the agreement between the countries allowed them to mutually improve their economic performance and competitiveness. The results obtained can be used in other similar situations requiring resolution of multi-year bilateral conflicts.
