Features of consumer protection in the era of digitalization of the economy

Digitalization of the economy leaves an imprint on the consumers’ rights enjoyment. The article covers the peculiarities of providing the consumers with information and the procedure for conclusion of contracts. It is noted that the provision of information in the Internet should not be formal, but should comply with the legal requirements for the provision of information. The novels of consumer legislation, according to which information obligations are imposed on owners of aggregators of information on goods (services). The provisions on the remote sale of goods have been analyzed and a conclusion has been drawn about their insufficiency. It is concluded that the legislation so far does not adequately regulate the consumer relations that have changed under the influence of the digitalization of the economy, but at the same time, the significance of these changes should not be exaggerated.
