This article presents the research based on the hierarchical conception of motivation of R. Vallerand. The author considers various structural components of the motivation to learn a foreign language, as one of the most important components of the vocational education. The undertaken study indicates that the forming of the students’ adequate understanding of the benefits the second language provides for the successful career making may become a resource of the motivation strengthening.
