From nationalism to socialism: failed regeneration of M. O. Menshikov

The world outlook, attitude to Christianity, capitalism and socialism of the publicist M.O. Menshikov during 1917 have been considered in the article for the first time. In the context of the pre-revolutionary views of the publicist, who was the ideologist of the Russian nationalism, it has been concluded that he changed his previous beliefs in many respects and considered socialism as an alternative to capitalism and Christian ethics.
