From plan to market: how the Russian economy “turned” during the collapse of the Soviet state

The article examines the features of the transformation of the Russian economy from state-planned to market (late 1980s - early 1990s) from the perspective of the organizational and legal development of this process. It is noted that during the years of “perestroika” in the most difficult political situation, the Russian ruling elite led by B.N. Yeltsin managed to implement an extremely radical version of economic reforms, the negative consequences of which still occur. The need to improve the constitutional regulation of economic relations in Russia is substantiated.
