«From Ryazan - to Irkutsk» (zemstvo statistician L. S. Lichkov)

The paper considers the life journey of a famous zemstvo statistician L.S. Lichkov. He organized statistical work in Saratov province, investigated peasant households in Ryazan and Irkutsk provinces. L.S. Lichkov was a strong supporter of a peasant community and believed it could productively function under capitalism. The author of the paper comes to the conclusion that L.S. Lichkov did his most significant works on statistics in Saratov province.
