From the Soviet past to the present: a retrospective analysis of legislation on criminal liability for motor vehicle crimes resulting in death

Introduction: the subject of this article is the evolution of legislation regulating the issues of criminal liability for violations of traffic rules and the operation of vehicles that negligently caused the death of a person in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. In the framework of a retrospective analysis, changes in the approaches of the legislator to the differentiation of responsibility for these crimes are investigated.
