From “great reconciliation” to “unity of the peoples of Europe”: Konrad Adenauer and his conception of Germany integration

Formation of the strategy for integration of Germany and development of fundamental principles of the united German state are associated with the name of the first Chancellor of Germany, Konrad Adenauer. The paper reviews the main areas of the program activities of conservatives led by Adenauer, including strengthening of Germany’s central position on the European continent and in the international relations system; development of effective mechanisms of international cooperation with the European countries on the matters of widespread deepening of military-political and socioeconomic partnership; acquisition of national and state integrity by Germany.
