The publication topic has still been actual up to nowadays in spite of the fact that most researchers lately recommend the surgery of anatomic correction during complete transposition of the great arteries. The major stimuli of this approach is the high risk of long term complications, characteristic to intra-atrial switching caused by its own internal features. The main reasons of unsatisfactory results of long term rehabilitation, such as rhythm disturbances, valvular incompetence of systemic ventricle (threecuspid valve), insufficience of inflow tract into atrial venae cave have been analyzed among 68 patients at the low rate of mortality. The analyses of factors influencing negatively on the rehabilitation potential of the method is rather logical and substantially motivated.
