The long-term results of surgical treatment of chronic postinfarction cardiac aneurysms by using different methods of the left ventricle (LV) plasty are presented. Also given are data on gas exchange dynamics parameters measured under physical load. Depending on the method of reconstruction the patients were divided into 3 groups: the 1 st group included 84 patients with resection of the aneurysm where LV plasty was performed by using Cooley suture line, the 2nd group involved 96 patients who underwent LV/IVS aneurysm plasty from the LV cavity by means of the aneurysm tissues (Stoney-Khapayev endoventriculoplasty) and the 3rd group consisted of 91 patients who underwent the exclusion of the aneurysm with an endoventricular patch (Dor endoventriculoplasty). The actuarial survival rate was 98.0%, 94.5%; 88.9%, 85.4% and 73.3% at 1,2,3,5 and 7 years respectively and insignificantly differed by groups. 91 % of patients had good and satisfactory results with improved NYHA heart failure/angina pectoris parameters within 7 years of surgery.
