A long-term result of the elbow function recovery according to Makushin-Soldatov procedure

The authors demonstrate a long-term result of treatment of a female patient with posttraumatic flexion-extension contracture of the elbow, caused by osteophytes and the elbow fossa deformity. Makushin-Soldatov procedure was used for treatment. The reconstruction of the proximal ulna was performed using a special module of the Ilizarov fixator. Positive result was obtained, the elbow extension function was restored completely. Good anatomic-and-functional result is preserved two years after surgery.
