The article covers the issues concerning control of students' knowledge results in modern education in the context of reformation of the Russian education system and defines the character of changes of some elements of the system in conditions of Bologna Process. Some issues relating to the practice of knowledge monitoring have been emphasized; the search of the ways for solution of the allocated problems has been carried out.
