The article discusses a basic organizational and corporation development ways of the Russian oilfield services market in compare with the clue periods of world market development, that history is represented as a short story about launch and form of largest international corporation Schlumberger which had a short connection with the Soviet Union on oilfield services in the beginning. The main signs determining a world market development are called a competition stimulation on the base of the oilfield services technology advantages by way of the high level of R&D investment. Noted the R&D stimulation was also priority for the soviet government to provide the industry development under conditions of the URSS total plan economics. Market period for the Russian oilfield services development started after the Soviet Union crash and the private oil companies were launched. The period had some special signs such as fast forming of competition oilfield market, the growing of technology gap in compare from the world oilfield services level, government R&D investment system crash and a low level of private investment into oilfield services industry together with the high growing of oilfield market volume. The pace of development has slowed because of sanction impact on access to international capital and possibility to buy a modern oilfield services technology coincided with the new strategy of Russian largest oil company Rosneft to form its own oilfield services capacities. Such politics might come to restriction of competition, further slowing down of organizational development of Russian oilfield services industry and decrease of oilfield services business attraction.
