Native library science and education in 1964-1982

In article investigated the history of library science and education in Russian Federation in late soviet period. We considered the solutions of soviet authorities for library science and education development. Article marked basic positive and negative trends of Russian scientific investigations in 1964-1982. We are named the prominent scientists of Russian librarianship and their achievements. It shows large successes in librarian's preparation and the problems in 1964-1982. We give summery analytic appraisements of Russian library science and education to beginning “Perestroika”.
