Elizabeth petrovna’s refusal of rapprochement with France in 1741-1742

The article is devoted to formation of foreign policy of the empress Elizabeth Petrovna during the first months of her rule. At this period, the empress returned to the foreign policy course of the previous reigns and refused the idea of rapprochement with France. The defining cause of such turn was the position of the Russian establishment and, first of all, the opinions of diplomats.
