The response of storm VLF-radionoise to solar activity as deduced from observations at Yakutsk

Researches of relation of long-period variations of VLF-radionoise intensity with the solar activity during the period of 1979-2006 are carried out. Parameters, which define solar activity, the quantity of sunspots (Wolf number) were used. The intensity of the VLF-noise, registered in Yakutsk, characterizes thunderstorm activity in Eastern Siberia (01-05 UT) and activity of the African thunderstorm centre (13-17 UT). It is obtained by the correlation analysis that thunderstorm activity both in Eastern Siberia and in the African world centre is in negative relation with change of quantity of sunspots. The highest values of factor of anticorrelation between solar activity and storm activity in Eastern Siberia were obtained. Thus maximal values R of factor correlation in August are - 0.59 (04 UT) and - 0.75 (16 UT).
