The attitudes of the Muslim peoples towards the Turkish-Egyptian crisis of 1831 - 1833 are researched in this paper. The views on the conflict of the Crimean Tatars and the peoples of the Caucasus are examined on the folk literature materials. The main aspects of the local Muslim population relationships with the Ottoman Empire inhabitants are analyzed in this paper, as well as the basic problems Russian authorities faced in the region during this period concerning the events in the Ottoman Empire.
