Attitude of Russian sociologists of the XIX century to European positivism

The article reveals some aspects of the contradictory attitude of Russian sociologists of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries to the apologists of European positivism O. Comte and G. Spencer. The reasons for special skepticism in relation to the possibility of solving epistemological and axiological problems by means of positivism are revealed.
