The paper deals with the development of a methodology for controlling the technology of 64Cu radionuclide isolation by chemical isolation of a natural mixture of nickel isotopes. To evaluate the effectiveness of the developed isolation technology, work was carried out with an inactive solution of copper, cobalt and nickel ions in a ratio close to a real radioactive solution. The results of the sediment study by X-ray energy dispersion analysis using an electron microscope showed that the developed separation technology is able to effectively separate nickel and cobalt from copper. Purifi cation of natural nickel solutions with radioactive isotope labels 63Ni and 57Co was also performed. Based on the results of spectrometric analyses of the activity of the initial and separated solutions, it is shown that there are no traces of the added nickel label in the fi nal solution, and the activity of the cobalt label decreased by 2000 times. This level is suffi cient for practical use in the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals. A developed technology for isolating 64Cu radionuclide from a foil solution of a natural mixture of nickel isotopes exposed to proton irradiation is proposed, which makes it possible to signifi cantly increase the yield of the product and reduce its contamination with nickel and radioactive cobalt isotopes.
