Reflection of linguistic image of the world in the A.P. Chekhov’s epistolary works

This article examines the linguistic image of the world in letters of A.P. Chekhov. The wrighter transforms phraseological units in order to reflect fragments of conceptual image of the world, and creates the capacious picturesque artistic images, which deliver author ’ s associations to the reader ( recipient ) and establishes original forms of phenomena interpretation
