The article identifies the regional features of the Russian language in the novel "The Singing Arrows" by Buryat writer A. A. Balburov. The linguistic analysis of the literary work have shown the elements of the Buryat language. The novel may be a reliable source for studying regional variations of the Russian language, as conscious, artistically motivated use of the borrowed words by the author is a means for realistic description of the events that have occurred in the Buryat village. Linguistic borrowings allow him to recreate the traditional authentic way of life of the Buryats in details, as well as to describe the situations of interlanguage contacts of the heroes - native speakers of Buryat and Russian. The study have led to the conclusion that the language of the novel "The Singing Arrows" with non-equivalent Buryat lexicon, used for illustration of the territorial worldview, is a reflection of the regional Russian language.
