Reflection of everyday practices in public moods in the 1990s (based on the materials of the Samara region)

On the basis of archival documents and materials of regional newspapers, the author analyzes the aspects of everyday life in Samara region in the 1990s, which was reflected in the so-called “letters to the authorities”. He concludes that the pensioners were the most active social group, and their appeals to the regional authorities reflected the most acute problems of socially vulnerable groups of Russian society in the 1990s.
