Reflection of social differentiation of the language in texts placed on signs (based on the language of Vladivostok city)

This article discusses the texts on the signs in Vladivostok city in a sociolinguistic aspect, namely, the ways of representation of social differentiation of the language in the names of the city objects. It describes the elements of the spoken language, urban vernacular, professional and social slangs, which are presented in the texts of the signs. It analyzes the names of different companies in terms of the language culture as well as touches the issues of the language policy in the field of urban naming.
