The May, 1926 coup under J. Piłsudski and its immediate consequences, reflected in the Polish left-wing parties central press, are considered in the article. The analysis of the central press made it possible to trace changes in the left-wing parties attitude to the coup and J. Piłsudski in the first weeks after this event.
