A reflection of the relationship between the state and religion in legislation and court practice of the early Soviet government

The relationship between the early Soviet government and the Church in the period from 1918 to 1925 are explored in the article. Author analyzes the process of formation of anti-religious doctrine after the collapse of the Russian Empire by using a decree of the General Subject of the RSFSR and other normative acts and uses the judicial practice of the period under review. The results of the research is the conclusion that the initial stage of the Soviet government laid the foundations of the anti-religious policy of the state.
