The article analyses specific features of regulation of criminal liability for bribery and coercion of legal proceeding participants in the legislation of the common law countries. The author considers the peculiarities of the methods of legislative framing of relevant criminal legal standards. The study suggests that with due regard to the experience of foreign countries it is necessary to evaluate critically the features of the legal structure of crimes under the Art. 302 and 309 of the Criminal Code of Russia regarding the definition of special features of a victim, the ways of illegal influence and its objectives, as well as characteristics of a person committing such offences.
