The review evaluates the main provisions of the dissertation research devoted to the theory and practice of the implementation of judicial power at the stage of preparing a criminal case for a court session. The author confirms the solution of the tasks set in the dissertation research. It is stated that significant results containing novelty and practical significance have been obtained. These qualitative characteristics are contained in: the information received about the essence, content and functions of the judicial power, which is implemented at the stage of preparing a criminal case for a court session; in the disclosed constitutional-legal and criminal-procedural aspects of the status of a judge; in the clarified role of the first judicial stage in the mechanism of the implementation of judicial power, etc. The conclusion is formulated that the results of the study make a significant contribution to the criminal procedure science, the author of the study deserves to be awarded the degree of Doctor of Law.
