The response of shallot candidate varieties to the growing conditions

The research findings on the adaptability and stability of shallot candidate varieties in two ecologically different zones of Siberia: the Novosibirsk Region and the Altai Region are discussed. According to the tests result and analytical evaluation, four candidate varieties with high indices of economically valuable characters in the study areas were transferred for the State Variety Testing, had successfully passed the tests and released as the varieties Sofokl, Serezhka, Sibirskiy yantar and Zhar ptitsa.
