Lake Nelsha of the Ivanovo oblast

Results of researches the nature sanctuary of Ivanovo oblast “Lake Nelsha” are given in article. Morphometric parameters of the lake are described, the batimetric scheme is given. Soils, flora and vegetation are characterized. In modern flora of 2017 186 species of the vascular plants relating to 5 divisions, 6 classes, 47 families and 129 genera are noted. Flora is rich with rare species (14 types are included in the Red Book of Ivanovo oblast, 19 belong to rare, needing protection). It is recommended to carry out reorganization of especially protected natural territories, to increase the area to 166,3 hectares and to create a security zone of 218,1 hectares.
