In memory of N. P. Egunov (All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation «Buryatia in the dynamics of historical and cultural development» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Buryatia)

The article is dedicated to the memory of N. P. Egunov - an outstanding organizer and worker of historical science. We have addressed the main facts of the biography and professional activities of the scientist, paying much attention to the issues of preserving the memory of Nikifor Petrovich. The tradition of Egunov’s readings which unite scientists and educators from Russia and other countries is reported about. The article presents information about the scientific and practical conference held in 2023 under the auspices of the Eighth Egunov’s Readings.
