The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of changes of the dominant paradigm in sociology of media sociology. The study is conducted on the basis of paradigmatic analysis of science of Th. Kuhn and system approach. The conclusion is that it is necessary to develop the research of mass communication on the basis of the theory of social space of P. Bourdieu.
