The paper is aimed at displaying the clear difference between the paradox and the antinomy through the analysis of contemporary meta-approaches. The understanding of cognitive essence of the paradox and its structure allows revealing the fundamental nature of the phenomenon. Logical schemes of the paradox comprehension prove the exceptional effectiveness of its cognitive functions.
