Parametric synthesis of universal hopper feeder with teeth and adjustable orientator for parts in form of cap

The article presents an improved universal mechanical disk hopper feeder with teeth and an adjustable orientator for rod parts in the form of a cap. Limitations on design parameters of gripping and orienting members of improved universal hopper feeding device are developed, and working ranges of width, length and height of pockets, geometric parameters of adjustable orientator, at which device will reliably function, are presented. Developed mathematical models of capture probability and feed rate of improved universal hopper feeding device are presented, which allow taking into account design and kinematic parameters of the device, parameters of parts in the form of a cap of various configurations when describing capacity. Using the developed mathematical models, the ranges of optimal structural and kinematic parameters of the improved universal bunker feeder for various parts are determined. The results of experimental studies of the effect of the level of filling the hopper of the improved device with parts on its feed rate are presented.
