Using the morphological and statistical methods the morphofunctional features of a spleen as haematogenic and peripheral immune body at the small mammals occupying the sanitary protection zone of Orenburg gas-processing plant, are studied. It is established that in the conditions of subsharp action of chronic poisoning with aero-pollutant of gas-chemical production (level of emissions doesn't exceed maximum permissible concentration on hydrogen sulfide, carbon sulfur and carbon oxide-sulfide), there is a reliable increase in relative mass of a spleen. A structural basis of this process is growth of myeloid and lymphoid tissues of red and white pulp. As a part of red pulp the quantity of sprouts erithrocyto-and granulocytopoiesis that expresses an intensification of extramedullary hematopoiesis increases. For a white pulp violation of the spatial organization of lymphoid tissue is defined: separate small knots disappear, the congestions of lymphocytes aggregated in massive conglomerates are formed. It is shown that splenic index can be reliable criterion in ecological monitoring of the territories under the influence of gas processing production.
