The paper discusses the problem of quality assessment of transport service, describes their evaluation factors and methods. Nowadays, there is a minimum standard for transport services; the list of its indicators is dynamic and is to be changed according to the performance conditions. The author reviews a number of properties enshrined in Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation up to 2030 as the determinants of a high level of transport service. The consumer value of the transportation process is based on an integral index, which includes the set of these properties. The creation of transport service standards and the standardization of the existing properties will develop a favorable environment for improving the investment climate. It is extremely important in terms of overcoming the transport discrimination of a large number of remote and isolated territories in Russia to date rather than in the context of increasing the regional economic welfare.
