Parcel as a means of conveying negative emotions

The article considers parcellation as a stylistic device, which consists in dividing sentences into intonation-semantic units. The various definitions of parcel proposed by linguists are analyzed and its main functions are highlighted. Examples from Agatha Christie's works demonstrate the use of parcel paper to convey negative emotions, emphasizing its role in enhancing the emotional expressiveness of the text.
