Passenger transportation in municipal education: economic and legal aspect in the formation and choice of transport routes

The article reveals the economic and legal aspects related to the activities of local governments in the provision of public transport services on the territory of municipalities, with the emphasis on the formation of transport routes and competitive procedures for determining carriers to service the corresponding routes. The corresponding federal and regional laws, municipal legal acts, scientific works on the stated topic are analyzed. It is noted that the legal framework in this area of public relations has acquired sufficient clarity only in recent years. Proposals are formulated to improve the legal regulation of the issues under consideration at the municipal level.
